The finished skuttle, glazed. Made of red clay, the glaze is a beautiful black as it breaks over the ridges of the texture. The bowl that sits inside. I decided to use a green matte glaze to contrast with the shiny blue. The holes in the bowl allows water to enter the bowl to make foam with the soap.
I am the 3rd of 6 children,grew up in So. California near Disneyland. Was in high school marching band, have worked as a medical assistant since 1973,married Ed Burnett in 1975. We lived in Grover City CA while Ed attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and our first child, Paul was born there. We have lived in Nampa Idaho since 1978 and had two daughters, Erin, and April. I graduated from BSU (blue turf) in 1998 with a B A degree in general art. I have been pursuing the sale of my artwork at various art festivals in Idaho and a market of Saturdays, in Eagle Idaho for the past 5 years.
